I’ve been advocating for accessibility (a11y) since 2003, carrying my expertise into every role, team, and community I’ve worked with. Designing for accessibility isn’t just about compliance—it’s about crafting better, more inclusive experiences for everyone. I approach it like solving a puzzle: how do we create accessible solutions without compromising the broader user experience?

Similarly, inclusive design goes beyond accessibility. It ensures that products work for a diverse range of users, including those with different abilities, cultural backgrounds, and technological constraints. From accessibility and localization to product strategies, I help teams integrate inclusion into the design process in a way that’s approachable and actionable.

Approaches and expertise

Depending on the team or situation, I tailor my approach:

  • For product teams—I help teams interpret and implement accessibility standards pragmatically, balancing usability with compliance. Whether through design guidelines, interpreting WCAG guidelines, or pairing sessions, I make accessibility an engaging challenge rather than a burden.
  • For organizations—I build scalable accessibility programs, embedding accessibility into design and engineering workflows while cultivating champions across teams.
  • For education and advocacy—I demystify accessibility and inclusive design, making complex topics approachable through workshops, training, and speaking engagements.

Making accessibility and inclusion actionable

Throughout my career, I’ve worked at both tactical and strategic levels to make accessibility and inclusive design second nature in product teams. A few accomplishments include:

  • Developed accessibility and inclusive design strategies into product design workflows
  • Created and led an enterprise-wide curricula for accessibility and localization
  • Hosted and facilitated multiple Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD) events in-person and virtually
  • Introduced and taught accessibility and inclusive design practices to hundreds of design, engineering, and tech professionals.
  • Developed a Skillshare class on accessibility
