Creating content across formats

Over the years, I’ve developed content in a variety of formats, each with its own challenges and opportunities. I love experimenting with how to present information effectively while keeping it engaging and digestible.

  • Livestreams, webinars, and podcasts—I’ve hosted live discussion panels and podcast recordings, where real-time interaction adds depth and immediacy to conversations.
  • Conference talks and workshops—Whether delivering a keynote or leading a hands-on session, I enjoy crafting talks that balance insight, storytelling, and practical takeaways.
  • Blog posts and articles—Writing allows me to break down complex topics into actionable insights, from tactical how-tos to strategic think pieces.
  • E-books and reports—I’ve authored long-form content like the How We Document report and a guide on evaluating design system tools, turning research and experience into structured resources.
  • Guest teaching and coaching—Through guest lectures and mentoring, I’ve helped classes, teams, and individuals deepen their knowledge in inclusive design, design systems, and career growth.

I don’t have a favorite way of creating content. Instead, I consider what information I’d like to share and figure out what medium might work best. Sometimes, that includes creating content in multiple formats.

Making content extensible and impactful

For me, content isn’t just about publishing—it’s about creating lasting impact. I craft content with the intention that it can be adapted and repurposed, ensuring it reaches the widest possible audience.

One example is the How We Document campaign, which expanded from a single report into a four-part live webinar series (later posted on YouTube) and a five-part blog series—catering to different learning preferences and keeping the conversation going.

75% of the speakers from events I’ve curated have been women, non-binary individuals, or people of color.

I’m also passionate about highlighting diverse voices in the tech community. Whether through curated events, guest features, or coaching new speakers, I strive to elevate underrepresented perspectives and make the design industry more inclusive.
